[ithaca Forward] Now Accepting New Members

Do I have to be under 40 to join?

Absolutely not. Although our programming and events are geared toward the young
professional, we like to think anyone is capable of the under 40 mindset – and
welcome all who are interested to participate in our events and programs.

Why Become a Member?

·  Network with other Tompkins County YP’s

·  Meet and interact with local business owners & entrepreneurs

·  Get invited to special professional and career development programs—designed with the YP in mind

·  Learn about leadership opportunities for YP’s in non-profit organizations and gain valuable skills while serving on non-profit boards and community committees

·  Be in the Loop—receive weekly [iF] email updates about programs and events targeted to YP’s in the area

·  Become part of the national YP movement

·  Be an official part of the local YP movement—provide feedback to our local government, access local nonprofit board opportunities, help to make Tompkins County an attractive place to live, work, and play!

The SHAKER is designed for an individual who works for a business that is not a member
of the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce. This membership would not only give
you [iF] MOVER status, but would allow you access to limited Chamber events like the Business After Hours and Networking at Noon.

Attend an [iF] Orientation. Quarterly, we will offer a session before our Social Mixer that

will introduce you to all things [iF].
Attend and Create [iF] events. Look at our online calendar and pick some events that

appeal to you and your interests.—or— Join one of our project teams to help plan an upcoming event or program. Or—start a team and suggest a new event!
